The Rand Memorial Hospital, a government owned institution and the only tertiary level healthcare facility on the island of Grand Bahama, can proudly boast of its brand new, state-of-the-art, modern Operating Theatres. It is the most technologically advanced and stands as a model facility in the entire Caribbean region.
Peri-operative care is provided for all clients in need of surgical intervention from infants to aged adults. These include elective surgeries, emergency surgeries and highly specialized procedures.
Services are provided on a 24 hour basis, seven days per week, year round. “On-call” services are also provided on a daily basis after 4:00 p.m. to accommodate emergency cases. Elective surgeries are performed Monday thru Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
These services are provided by a highly qualified group of skilled Surgeons, Anaesthetists, Nursing and Support Staff, using the Public Hospitals Authority’s “Performance Pillars of Excellence” as our benchmark.
