Patient Assessment

The Medical and Surgical Physicians assess the patients during rounds and prn (nursing) assessment is done at the beginning of each shift or prn based on the acuity level of the patient.  Daily consultation is carried out among Physicians, Nurses and other healthcare staff to plan and manage the patient’s care.

The standard of nursing practice governs the policies of the Paediatrics Ward.  Further policies formulated by the Medical staff are also applied to the specific needs and resources of the Ward.
